The international Week of the three gufls - Naples & Capri

Following tradition, the International week of the Three Gulfs returns from Saturday May 24 to Saturday 31, 2008.

The 54th Regata of the Tree Gulfs will be held from May 24 - 25, 2008 in the magnificent settings of Capri. The Regata is an official leg in the 2008 Mediterranean Trophy D'Altura. As usual, the spectacular start in Naples is schedule for the stroke of midnight on May 24. The race crosses the Gulf of Naples, Salerno and Gaeta to finish in Capri after sailing 120 miles.

From May 28 - 31, 2008, during the week of the Three Gulfs, the traditional National Tyrrhenian Championships will also be held. This race is valid for the Absolute Italian Championships, as set by Sailing regulations. A series of races start in Capri on Wednesday, the 28th, culminating on Saturday night, May 31, with the awards ceremony for the king of the Tyrrhenian.

The Week of the Three Gulfs is a must for all sailing fans, as proven by the event's growing attendance. Non-sailing fans should take advantage of this event to visit the coast and admire the boats rivaling in these spectacular settings and enjoy the supplementary events that enliven the city all week long.
