VITIGNOITALIA - Wine expo in Naples

For three days, Naples will host the fourth edition of "VitignoItalia, exposition of wine, by original native grapevine" , focused on Italian wine, from May 26 - 28, 2008.

The VitignoItalia exhibition was founded in 2005 to create a showcase for quality Italian wine in Central-Southern Italy and promote local wines. Quality is promoted to keep up with the global market and maintain important market shares. The event intends to further the exposure and business of that part of excellent Italian wine products that would otherwise disappear.

Another goal is to provide connoisseurs with the chance to taste, buy and participate in a series of conventions focused on this heavenly nectar. The acclaimed talent scout, Giorgio Pinchiorri, owner of the famous Pinchiorri wine cellar in Florence, will attend the Naples edition to speak on how to make wine the highlight of catering.

The exhibition will be held in the Mostra D'Oltremare halls at the Naples expo center from Monday, May 26 to Wednesday, May 28, 2008 along with a series of supplementary events and exhibits called "Wine & The City" in the five days leading up to the event. Wine & Design, Wine & Art, Wine & Jewelry, Wine & Fashion, Wine & Food and, lastly, Just Wine will also attend, pointing out participating Neapolitan businesses whose wine you can sample.

The wine exhibition will also include a Food & Wine section with gourmet chefs in the Cooking for wine area to emphasize winning wine and food combinations. Given the prestigious location, the participation of Pizza & Wine is a must.
